As an emerging photographer, entering competitions can be a great way to get your name out there. Even if you don’t win, competitions give you a chance to get your work in front of people you might not have access to otherwise. Many juried competitions have entry fees, but what’s a mere $35 compared to the chance to have photo editors and curators from around the world looking at your work? And the chance to win big is a bonus!
The deadlines for the competitions listed vary (a few have already passed for this year) but you should have them on your calendar for next year. We’ve picked five to profile, but tell us what other competitions are on your radar?
